Infants have soft nails, but as the baby gets older gets the child's nails a hardness that requires them to be cut. The nail clipper has a soft handle and therefore also a good grip.

Good advice: Cut the nails after bath, as the nails are softer - or gently cut when the child sleeps so that the hands are at rest with the child.
